Sebastian receives a call from a casting director who attended Mia’s play, looking to contact her to audition for a role in a major movie. They break up and Mia moves back home to Arizona, giving up on her acting career. Sebastian is so distracted by the fame and the busy lifestyle of the tour that he misses Mia’s play, which was a flop anyway. Sebastian’s career takes a turn for the best and Mia begins preparing for her performance. Sebastian feels the pressure of his music career and reunites with an old friend who gives him a job in a pop-jazz band. Mia quits her job as a barista and writes a one-woman play.

Most people see this movie as a love story with some singing and dancing and bright costume design, but it is so much more.
